Wesleyan University
I was born and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri located in the American midwest. For university, I moved to the northeast, where I attended Wesleyan in Middletown, Connecticut. There I explored many languages including Russian in addition to Psychology, which were my majors. During my time there, I also tutored Syrian refugees in math and English through a program called SAWA and was a member of the varsity track and field and field hockey teams. After graduation, I decided to move to Vermont, where I live now and work as a residential counselor in a treatment center for youth with anxiety and/or OCD when I am not teaching at the American Home. I am excited for the opportunity to teach one of my favorite areas in the world, languages, as well as the opportunity to learn about languages and seeing my native language from a different perspective. I love languages because they offer a platform for exchange, connection, common ground, and different ways of thinking. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, running, swimming, and hiking as well as just relaxing at home and watching a movie, doing arts and crafts, cooking, baking, or reading a good book. Looking forward to getting to know everyone this year as well as growing and learning together!
