В группах первого и второго уровня основного курса и в детской программе занятия проводят квалифицированные русские преподаватели, имеющие квалификацию «учитель иностранного языка»или Бакалавр, Педагогическое образование (с 2-мя профилями).
Занятия в группах 3 — 11 уровней основного курса проводят американские преподаватели — носители языка, прошедшие соответствующую подготовку и имеющие сертификаты TEFL/TESOL на право преподавания английского языка как иностранного.
Hello everyone! My name is Peixin(Пэйсинь). I’m originally from Shenzhen, China, and then went to the US for college in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 2018, I graduated from the University of Michigan with a double major in Economics and Russian Studies back, and I’ve been working in Ann Arbor since. I’m very interested in the history and culture of Russia and its neighbors and would like to communicate with people in their languages. I studied Russian at the Higher School of Economics(НИУ ВШЭ) in summer 2016 and did a research internship at the Nazarbayev University in Astana, Kazakhstan(Nursultan) in summer 2018.
Will Borelli (Ebert) is a graduate double major in Economics and Politics (Political Science) with minors in Spanish and Russian from Bates College. He was previously a debate and speech student mentor for the Bates Brooks Quimby Debate Council. He has debated internationally at universities such as Oxford and Cambridge, and at the Debate World Championship in Mexico City. He has had additional studies in economics and philosophy at Harvard University. He previously has worked as a writing tutor and as a representative for the Office for Intercultural Education at Bates College. Additionally, he has worked as a part-time ESL/ELL teacher at Hebron Academy in Maine. He can speak and read in English, Spanish, and Italian, and has limited proficiency in Russian and Mandarin. He is a resident of New Hampshire, USA. He is an avid runner, and he loves to swim, hike, and read. He loves poetry, especially the works of John Keats, Pablo Neruda, and Alexander Pushkin. He believes the two greatest novels ever written are 100 Years of Solitude and The Brothers Karamazov. He also loves coffee and cheese.
Hi! I’m Madeline and I’m thrilled to be joining the American Home team this year! I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania until I was 12, then I moved to Sarasota, Florida, where I went to high school. From there, I went to Sewanee: The University of the South and will graduate this year as a French and Russian double major. From an early age, my fascination with linguistics and the cultural heritage of other countries has fueled my enthusiasm for learning foreign languages. I spent my semester abroad in Paris, and I have spent two summers in Russia: one in St. Petersburg and one in Moscow. I am eager to experience the more provincial side of the country! In my free time, I love being involved in all things performing arts, geeking out about film history, and keeping up with the latest in fashion, food and travel. Can’t wait to be a part of the AH community!

Hello! My name is Hallie, pronounced with the same short ‘a’ as in ‘California’, which also happens to be where I’m from. Probably not the part you’re thinking of, though — I grew up in the agricultural heart of the Sacramento Valley, more than eight hours’ drive from LA. In 2015, I moved across the country to New Hampshire and finally had to buy my first winter coat. I’m now in my final year at Dartmouth College, where I study Russian and math. I previously had the wonderful opportunity to spend the summer of 2016 in St. Petersburg, and I’m thrilled to be returning to Russia as a teacher at the American Home.

I grew up outside of Washington DC, in Northern Virginia before moving to Richmond, Virginia where I studied Russian language, literature, and culture and History at the University of Richmond. I began studying Russian after working in Almaty, Kazakhstan at the Kazakhstan Foundation for Cultural, Social and Educational Development in the summer of 2014 and studied in St. Petersburg at СПБГУ in the spring of 2018. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, painting, and exploring new places, especially museums. I am thrilled to be working at the American Home this year and cannot wait to meet and get to know my students and fellow staff in Vladimir!

I grew up in Rochester, New York, where I studied Russian at the University of Rochester and classical music at the Eastman School of Music. Aside from my passion for music, I have always had a great interest in languages and literature, especially in Russian and American Literature, so I am absolutely thrilled to be teaching at the American Home in Vladimir!
In my free time, when I’m not surrounded by books in a library, I can be found at an art gallery, the concert hall, or hanging out with friends in a restaurant. I love to teach and I believe that learning other languages and about other cultures is very important. I am looking forward to exploring Vladimir and getting to know the people who live there.
